It's a "surprise" because the dark leafy greens that give this smoothie its colour is usually used in savoury recipes, but taste amazing in blended into a sweet drink! It's yu choy, a leafy green similar to bok choy, and it's excellent for you. Serves 1 or 2.
1 cup yu choy leaves
3 bananas
1 cup ice cubes
3 medjool dates
1 cup water
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Blend everything - except the chia seeds - together until smooth and green. Top off with the chia seeds and enjoy!
